Hi and welcome to my Blog, my name is Paul Riddle and I live in south Leicestershire, UK. Back in August 2007 my quest began to locate as many local Little Owl territories as possible. The driving force was a reported decline in the uk numbers so I thought I would do my bit and conduct a study in my area. After 7 years and countless hours out in the field I have detected over 200 different sites. With a thirst for a greater understanding of the owls a more comprehensive monitoring and nest box programme then commenced. This also now includes monitoring the local and very sparse population of Barn Owls, please pop back occasionally and catch up with the life and times of my owls and any other wildlife that I come across. I hope you enjoy your visit!!!

Roll up roll up!

Yes it is that time again folks, oh OK its a bit earlier than last year but I needed to get myself organised as last year I left it rather late to produce and some folk didn't  receive theirs until late January!

What am I ranting on about I hear you ask???

My 2012 Little Owl calendar that's what!!!

So if you would like to support my Little & Barn Owl box scheme you will not only have that "feel good factor" knowing you are supporting a good cause but also by return post you will receive one of my limited edition calendars........WOW!!!

There is a different picture for each month plus the front cover, all the images used were taken by myself during 2011.

Front Cover (of the first batch).

A typical example of the inside layout.

I am totally aware that we all all feeling the pinch in these particularly tough economic times so this time I have ordered them in larger quantities to help keep the price down as low as possible. 100% of the profit from the sale of each calendar (£3.50) goes towards the cost of making and erecting more new boxes.

They are priced at only £10.00 each, (plus P & P @ £1.00 for UK deliveries).

So if you would like one (or two or even three!) please send me an email  (it's at the bottom of the page) stating how many you would like and don't forget to let me have your postal address, I'll then do the rest!

Many thanks for reading my blog and hopefully your support too.

All the best........Paul.
